Wow its been a long time

Oops... totally forgot about Livejournal. So sad too since I really loved reading peoples posts here. I guess I will have to start going back and catching up. Not sure anyone really cares but I moved to Bulgaria (for the record S.M. mentioned sitting in on the Bulgarian U.N. Reps having a meeting when she was filming the at the U.N. so Bulgaria must be cool right) and have been really really busy. The negative is the language is freaking hard and I am the only American for miles, but on the up side.... I get to see this all the time...

And really late at night they air old SVU episodes (sometimes with subtitles in Bulgarian, and sometimes with Overdubbed voices which is hilarious to watch). So.. I do get a little of my S.M. fix here. Cant wait for the new season, even if I cant watch when it airs.

How is it that Brandi Carlile is so amazing, and yet almost no one has heard of her? People are still leaving shows she opened (like Sheryl Crow or Indigo Girls) going.. "WOW she was great.. I will have to check her out". How could they not have heard of her before?

Anyways... in honor of her brilliance I bring you 130 or so HQ pictures (from actual photo agencies, I know its hard to believe that such pictures exist, but apparently every once and a while professional photographers show up). I cant wait for her to go back into the studio. The songs she performed over the last year on tour were so amazing.

I was hoping to have more done by now, but alas more important things came up (like SM & Brandi Carlile) but hopefully I will get the full site up and running soon enough (atleast a proper layout, not that it matters cause the only important part is the gallery anyways).

Snow, Stood Up & The Film Festival

Right... So... As most of you on my friends list probably know... It snowed. ALOT. They actually closed the library I work at all day Saturday (YAY, I get paid and didn't actual have to work, score!)

So... onto the Stood Up bit... So I have known this guy since like kindergarten. We weren't like friends or anything, and he switched schools when we were still in elementary school, but I would run into him from time to time (and I am pretty sure.. all though it was so long ago that I cant really remember... I think I may have made out with him in middle school). Well... anyways... I ran into him at work (at the library) in July and he offered me a ride home. We ended up going for a hike and then drinks and whatever. And then back to my place to make-out (which totally wasn't my idea!) So then I was going to see him again, but I pulled my back out that morning, and then I went on vacation, and when I got back I tried calling him, but his brother never gave him the messages I guess. Whatever I wasn't that interested anyways. He isn't really my type (although he is in Grad school or whatever trying to become a Lawyer, which I guess makes him at least sort of my type). So anyways... 7 months go by (me still working at the library) and I don't see or hear from him. Then out of no where last week he comes into the library to print out a school paper, and starts having a go at me for blowing him off. WTF? We were playing phone tag, and I tagged last, so if anything he blew me off. So... somehow he talks me into going out with him again this past Friday. We exchange numbers again (he got a new phone) and then like a day or two later he calls to confirm Friday is still good. So he was supposed to call Friday when he was free.... Friday, Saturday, and now Sunday have come and gone, and he still hasn't called. The worst part is... I really don't care! Which only makes my mom suspicious, since she wonders why I am not more upset that "such a nice boy" would blow me off. So now I guess I'll see him again in another 7 months and see what happens. Whatever!

Ok, so.... I am ECSTATIC! Tomorrow & Tuesday I am spending all day in Cleveland at the International Film Festival. Last year I saw 15 films including "Itty Bitty Titty Committee" which had a Q & A afterwords with Jamie Babbit. I sat in the second row with my sister for that part. She must have thought we were like HUGE fans, since everyone else was so far back. LOL

This year I sadly am missing all the films with Q & A, cause my sister has class in Columbus. The loser! LOL. She is blowing off 2 days of school but cant afford to miss anymore. I am so glad I don't have school anymore. I somehow ended up with only have 12 hours of work this week. 4 Weds night, and 8 Friday. So... Hopefully I will get to see alot of films (assuming I don't go bankrupt, 12 bucks a film is ridiculous!). Will post again after the festival to talk about how great, or lame the films were. Last year they showed "The Treatment" so at least the festival has a little Steph Love!

Oh, and P.s. WTF? Everyone has been talking about being upset "South Of Nowhere" is canceled. I of course had never heard of South Of Nowhere. What can I say I lead a VERY sheltered life! And I dont get "The N", so its not my fault. Plus I hate teen dramas and pretty much anything not Law & Order related. LOL. So... of course I had to download and see what all the fuss was about. Now I am addicted. Its bad. And Ashley is so so so adorable. And Mandy Musgrave was so wearing Cabot glasses at some event. Thats like cheating! Nothing sexier than a girl in hot glasses!

This looks like yet another "Lifetime TV" movie. Oh well. At least Elisabeth looks great, and I loved Vivica in the "Lifetime TV" show "Missing". I read somewhere the rights to this had been bought by LAPTV. I guess that means another year before we get it.

So Lis and Ron were wondering around NYC at the end of December (I assume they were spending New Years there) and people/paparazzi actually knew who they were and took their pictures. Shocking I know. Even more shocking is the fact that I think Ron looks normal here, and Lis looks like a mix of Geri Haliwell and Emma Bunton.

And lastly, how cute is Lis when the doctor (from the episode "Cut") tells her she might want to consider Breast Implants? So cute!

Oh, and ifuwereafrog pointed out this article to me from lis-rohm.net. Actually a really good read.

And on a only somewhat related note, am I the only one that watches Dan Abrams at least once a week? I don't even know if I agree with him (I should probably pay better attention to what he is actually saying) But I am just fascinated anyways. I blame Lis for that! Although it might also be because he reminds me of my father, and for some reason Jewish women always fall for men that are like their fathers (even though they seem to rarely get along with their fathers)

Oh and I think they should force Lindsay Boxer to wear glasses sometime, because Angie looks very nice in them! I have a real Love/Hate relationship with her, but in glasses its always love!

Was stuck at the Medical Building getting poked and prodded for like 8 hours yesterday, and it saved my life in between tests when I was waiting around. Nothing makes me feel better like watching "Blind Date".

And... So sad Kucinich dropped out. Although he stood no chance, it was nice to think I might actually get to vote for a candidate I liked this year. And one from my own state, which NEVER happens.

Rod Mckuen Quotes Part 1

Ok, I admit it. I have a really strange love of Rod McKuen.

He's a poet who was best known in the 60's and early 70's. The weird thing is, my parents and all the other older adults I know don't really know any of his work. They have all heard of him, but thats about it. What gives? Not only is he one of the most brilliant (still living) poets, but he also apparently was well known singer/songwriter who had songs he wrote sung by artists like Frank Sinatra and even Madonna (thats right, he co-wrote a song on the Ray of Light album). And he is credited with "Seasons In The Sun" (which so many artists have covered over the years). So why don't "real" adults know much about him? Well.. No matter. I think he's brilliant. I own like 20 of his books. I read them ALL the time! And I actually like some of his music.

I LOVE a song of his called "Soldiers who want to be heroes". The chorus goes like this..

"Soldiers who want to be heroes, number practically zero
but there are millions who want to be civilians."

Anyways... enough rambling about him. Here are some of my favorite quotes from just ONE of his many many poetry books. This one is called "Come Close To The Earth".

Right, in keeping with my new years resolution to try to not be so obsessed with Stephanie March, I am posting about Elisabeth again. I know its like substituting Chocolate for Sex (and we all know which is better) but it needs to be done. I included the interview pages. I will admit I found it hard to read *insert sarcastic comment about Ron here*. And I am stuck questioning why Elisabeth has such weird taste in just about EVERYTHING (things I think are totally ugly she thinks are the cutest thing ever, and so on). But whatever. Enjoy! (Sorry for the somewhat crappiness of them. My scanner is from before windows 2000 existed, if that gives you any idea how old it is)

P.s. Adding scan of the Life & Style article on her being pregnant. I must say, I knew this before but I am now even more sure of it, I HATE PREGNANT WOMEN WHO HOLD THERE STOMACHS WHEN THEY POSE! I certainly don't mind pregnant women in general. I have seen some really stunning pictures of people like Mariska & Jill... but something about pregnant women holding there stomachs really really annoys me! Maybe its all those episodes of bad tv drama's where the pregnant woman goes into labor in the middle of the blizzard and she is sitting there holding her stomach in much the same way. Maybe I just hate my mother and this is a side effect of that. Who knows. Whatever caused it, I don't like it. So.. listen up pregnant people. If you are doing a photo shoot, don't hold your stomach like you are going into labor in the middle of a blizzard! Its not attractive!

So I finally decided I should get a MP3 player, since even kids in 3rd world nations seem to have them. Nothing like being way behind the curve. So I decided on the 80 gig ZUNE with audio/video/pictures. Obviously Steph in glasses is my background (I had to deflower my new toy. LOL) But.. Now I need to make some best of clips (the kind with sound, not like fan videos put to music) so that I can have the great SM moments with me always.

Obviously "Guilt", "Loss", and "Ghost" clips will be going on there. And Her lovley appearance on 30 rock. But what other clips do you think no SM lover should be without?

Stephanie March Ramblings

For a start, am I the only one that thinks Stephanie is totally a modern day Grace Kelly? Ok so Grace would never have played a super whore. But she did play a woman who was flirting with her ex-husband, and a reporter on the night before her wedding to someone else in "High Society" and for a while they suggest she might have done something with the reporter. So thats got to be what a "super whore" would had been in the classic Hollywood era. Incase some of you are having a hard time picturing Stephanie as Grace.. look no further than the below.

And can I just say, WOW! I had no idea Bobby was so informed. Just when I thought he was totally in the dark about Stephanie being a woman loving alcoholic, he comes along and posts this in his blog.

"Stephanie has an immediate "girl crush" on the sommelier. She's wearing a great suit, cool specs and most importantly she's got the easy going knowledge of her list."

A girl crush on a woman who knows her wine. Could anything be more obvious? And she wears glasses. Which only confirms what I already knew. That hot women are made a million times hotter by wearing the right pair of glasses. And the rest of us just look like geeks when we try to wear glasses.

Then I stumbled on a picture of Stephanie on some random website that well.. made no sense.

What is up with that picture and caption? What does Stephanie need a stroller for? Is she planning on kidnapping someone elses child and wants to make sure she has a nice stroller to put them in or what?

I bet she uses this car to cruise around looking for unsuspecting women who's babies she can kidnap. Women love a blonde in a convertable. They would be powerless against her. Or atleast I would be. If I saw Stephanie in this car, I would gladly hand over my babies.

And I might as well add something about Elisabeth Rohm, since I am still frustrated/shocked/disappointed/confused from her baby news.

I found this picture with the caption "Elisabeth Rohm & Family" Creepy! I hope thats not Ron's son, cause if it is, then Lis's baby has no hope of having a normal life. Its bad enough the kids are already going to make fun of her for being named after a shopping mall (there are malls called Easton all over).

Why couldnt she have had Dan's baby? Look at them. They make a cute couple. And Dan doesnt give me the feeling like I should call the cops if I see him hanging around at a playground. And atleast Dan looks excited to be with her. Ron always looks bored/creepy.

Why in gods name would Lis want to protest for Writers? They only gave her one or two good lines in all 4 seasons of Law & Order she was on. if anything she should protest against them for making her say stuff like "I request remand" everyday for 4 years.
